It's important to train your horses in the game, so here are some tips.

A Step-by-Step Guide to the costs of maxing out a horse with a public training pen:

1. Write down the current levels of your horse's advanced stats (speed, strength, etc.).

2. Go to the Library and look up your horse's breed.

3. Write down the maximum level of each stat for your horse's breed.

4. Subtract your horse's base stats from the maximum level.

5. Add the total of all subtracted skills together.

6. Divide the total by 10.The end result is how many thousands of dollars it will cost to max your horse.

 For example, an Arabian horse:

(Maximum) Speed: 800 - 504 (Base) equals 296.

(Maximum) Strength: 600 - 444 (Base) equals 156.

(Maximum) Conformation: 750 - 429 (Base) equals 321.

(Maximum) Agility: 600 - 354 (Base) equals 246.

(Maximum) Endurance: 950 - 549 (Base) equals 401.

The Total is:296 + 156 + 321 + 246 + 401 equals 1420.

The Total divided by 10 is: 1420/10 equals 142.It will cost 142k to max this horse with a public training pen. ( / is divide)

There are 5 types of skills you can train your mount in; speed, strength, conformation, agility, and endurance.

Jumping ……………….. Speed and strength

Racing …………………… Speed and endurance

Dressage ………………. Conformation and a grooming

Draft ……………….. Strength and endurance

Where you train

Speed …………………………….……. Earton on Horse Isle

Strength ………………………….….. Appleton on Horse Isle

Endurance ……………………….….. Hotton on Desert Isle

Conformation in Witherton …. Rider Isle

Agility in Treeton …………………. Horse Isle

The picture above shows the Speed Trainer - they all look the same, just with different letters of the front. There are five stats you can train in, they are listen below with the location of the trainer.  You can train a horse once every 2 HI hours, when you train them with one of the trainers, it gains 10 in the chosen stat and +5 experience.  It costs $1,000 per horse per train.

If anyone refers to "UT's", they're talking about "UnTrainables". This means the highest number you can train your horse to in an area. Your horse gains experience and "skill points" every time they are trained, and earn experience any time they race, jump, do draftwork, or dressage.

Is my horse 'maxed'?

The simple answer to this is 'no'.  No horse is 100% unless it also has 100% untrainables.  However, a horse is classed as maxed if it is trained to the breed-maximum in each of the five trainable areas.  The picture below shows a horse which is maxed in every trainable area: the red columns are reaching to the top of the brackets and all the numbers end in '0'. (The maxed stat of each of the trainable areas will be a multiple of 100 or 50.)

Below shows an un-maxed horse.  It has high Untrainables, but, as yet, is has not been trained or maxed in any of the trainable areas, this horse is not maxed...no way, no shape, no how!

When you catch a wild horse, it needs to be broken in: you don't need any special tack for this, all you need to do is ride it.  It will buck you off until it gains 25 experience poins, once it gets past this point, it will no longer buck.  When you are bucked off, you will need to re-mount to carry on riding, an easy way of doing this is to press the F7 button, this also allows you to dis-mount.
